Im not the best at explaining things but I will give this a go.
I'll be explaining how its done in photoshop but it should be the same in PSP.
1. Open up your disney character and the photo you want to use as a BG.
2. Use the magic wand tool and click on the white area in your disney picture, make sure anti-aliasied is turned on and set the tolerance to about 30. It should have selected all of the white area now delete it.
3. Goto you BG image select>all and copy.
4. Back into your original disney picture and paste onto a new layer.
Now all you should have to do is arange the layers so that your disney picture is on top of the BG.
Hope this may help.

thanks bk9ine i tried that but for some reason i cant make it work
if first of all i can select the all white area because the picture is too reaches over the top so i have to do it piece by piece
still when i delete it i got a yellow background
and when i paste it the background over it just doesnt work right i must be missing something
well i ll do a search on the web maybe ill find something thanks for your time bk

Who needs pants?
i would just delete the white area. Make it a transparent background. Add a layer underneath the pirate image and then place the background their But that for photoshop dunno about paint shop pro.
Hope that Helps
