Gdstudios, you make some good points, but you really need to calm down. I mean, your post would be a lot more effective if it wasn't written in such anger. Don't take offense, I'm just speaking the truth.

Whether you like it or not, it's not your right to come in here and try to get threads closed (you said that was your mission). You or I or other people may not agree with the thread or the constant US bashing around here, but honestly...let it be because it aint going to change. People have a right to believe what they want to believe. I particularly don't like Bush myself and I'm not going to freak out if people criticize him. But I do find it ironic and annoying that everyone loves to blame the US for every single grievance on earth. Let people be morons and believe in all this conspiracy theory tripe and believe that their own countries have never done any wrong.

My advice is to not let it bother you so much or just ignore these threads if they make you this upset. I find them quite funny actually.

Good moderators would have closed and deleted this moronic thread long ago and not allowed idiotic stupid rantings from some unknown idiotic source to stand as a point and basis for discussion in a community already rife with leftist bigotry and zealotry. Simply amazing that this thread is allowed here. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong...but I'm not.

GD, in the past I have criticised you for jumping the gun, or overreacting to statements that could easily be construed in the opposite manner to which you chose to interpret them.

Having taken the time to read your post, I can see your point of view, and wholeheartedly support your right to express it, even if I disagree with the manner which you make it. Some of the points that you make above hit the mark, but, by the same principle, I agree with the right of the members who you censure in your post to express their opinions.

I feel you provide well educated, usually well reasoned points, and if you toned down the vitriol, would establish the reputation that you deserve, that of an educated commentator. Yes, some of the posts here are divisive, inane and overtly biased, but these are important to the people who post them, as are your own points to yourself.

Thank you for expressing yourself, and please continue to do so - I enjoy reading (and disagreeing with you), and look forward to doing so in the future.

as a mod, I see nothing really wrong - other than the occasional usage of sensationalism - in this thread.

I just think that people have taken slices of history, and forgotten who was really bad. Who knows... maybe Stalin and Idi Amin will be one day remembered as good people at this rate. It'll be just Satan, Dr. Evil, Darth Vader, Adolph Hitler, the end boss from Mortal Kombat, and Bill Gates as the evil people ever in history.

In otherwords, read up, and think a bit about what you read. If it seems like it's not based on reality, it just might not be...

and if it fits your myopic view(s), then you might need to broaden your horizons...

Ignoring them is not the correct approach, these matters are far too serious to just laugh off. I see nothing funny with people comparing my country and it's leaders to the maniacal tyrants born and bred by Europe in the last century. Europe just has it in for America and it's a shame that its inhabitants have flooded the Internet as they have with garbage as they have. Am I angry? Of course. dude, I understand your sentiment. It's sad that I left one community on the web due to it's - to me - seemingly unending unfair American comparisons. But hey... being the biggest consumers/wasters on this planet will make you the most targeted too. Try travelling abroad. You'll see that these type of people are the minority.

You see wasters, I see suppliers. And I'm not at all surprised by your inability to see how inappropriate this thread is. If you did, it would be closed already. Though you are the only somewhat moderate moderator at Flashkit, I have seen your temper flare when matter of race have been brought up. So I know you have participated too. It's okay, I can understand your plight, Gerbick. Imagine how the Jewish members of Flashkit feel on a daily basis here.

I am getting very tired of your constant accusations of bias on the part of the moderating team here at Flashkit. It has become akin to personally attacking and insulting every single one of them site wide.

Take it to the webmaster or just find a forum site that suits you better. Your public ranting and raving and attempts to control our moderation of this very large website to suit your purposes is getting very tiresome and is unacceptable.

Build your own forum site where you can decide what makes a good moderator, we do ok here.

Why does everyone have to be against the US goverment? This link may be true, but how did it turn into some guy listing all the people that have died, most of which in WARS, I have said it once, and I will say it again, that's war, people die. I do not agree with all of the US's policies, but there is nothing we can really do about it. For all the bad they do, they do alot of good too, and it seems nobody ever looks at that. Like it or not, Iraq is better without Sadam, he killed more of his own civilians every year then the total amount of people who were killed in the Gulf WAR.

Anyway, back on subject, interesting read, not sure about the credibility of it, interesting none the less.

There is no reason why any member of this website should be required to respect any political leader of any country, particularly by moderation.

All are entitled to their express their views and are welcome to publish their own un-sourced, un-substantiated viewpoints, opinions and political agendas.

What is not tolerated is abuse of other members because they express those viewpoints, that is when threads go bad here.

Respect is earned, just accept that if others do not respect your Officials or the government, then that respect has obviously not been earned yet in their eyes. It does not change ones own views surely, so why is there such a need to convince others that they SHOULD respect politicians or governments that you support or believe in.

gdstudios ... i agree that the amount of global USA bashing is unacceptable there are plenty of equally oppressive and agressive countries who never get a mention. My apologies to all for pasting the quote from the article, I merely wanted to point out that this site had better points to make than the conspiracy theory parts (although i do believe there is more to be known about the events and background to 9/11), which i still believe, i perhaps could have choosen better. I dont need to check the exact numbers, the essence is still the same, but i return to my other point ... other countries/states are equally guilty of similar atrocities and have a much longer history. The US government unfortunately has a habit of presenting itself as the standard bearer for all that is moral and good and this is blatantly untrue ....
my last point, lets not forget our history, a large proportion of the modern USA populations ancestors are europeans. perhaps TallGuyLittlecar can check that for me.

He does his job and stays out of hairy situations and sticky debates, just as many of you children and adults (unfortunately) should do. After all, this is a Flash community. Kudos to Starkey for his job and several of the moderators who mind their business and do their jobs as it relates to Flash on a daily basis. I've just reviewed this thread in light of the posts following my attempt to demonstrate to gd that his opinion is valued. Now, I'm leaning towards a different point of view.

This thread was not aggravated until you stepped in gd - it was just another example of the give and take that is the heart of any good coffee lounge. Your posts have displayed all of the characteristics that you bemoan of others, except you substitute Bush for the FK mod team.

I can accept different points of view, it is hypocrisy that I can't stomach.

Let me know if you want to discuss any of these points via a PM mang, I'll be happy to talk with you if you feel my analysis is wide of the mark.
