    FI - Test Launch

We are test launching 2 new projects, well really the bandwidth strain, not the projects themselves. They are located at www.fantasyinterfaces.com Xbox: Brute Force and Desert Combat.
The server is located here in Stockholm, it will be slow as we have added a lot of strain for these tests. Feel free to past the link around, the more traffic the better.

The official launch will be sometime next week.

    thx's

hmm took me abvout 40 seconds on a cable connection.
    for the brute force one.
You also might want to consider resolution. (Might not be a factor since most game fans have higher resolutions)

    Pretty good work.
Have fun with your hard earned cash =)

    Thx's for feedback:
With regard to the servers, they are maxed out on purpose. This launch is a test launch, primarily for bandwidth. Once on the clients sites, they will be running normally (providing servers are not capped). With the amount of traffic now, we have a great test environment for the next generation sites we are in the process of building. The data transfer now is unlike anything we have seen in the past.

    In regards to the RES:
We absolutely do not develop for 800 x 600, it is far to restricting. The majority of visitors to our sites are on a high end connection with at least 1024 x 768.
    The standard for Xbox.com is 1024 x 768 min.

    haha

Only thing that restricts you is your imagination =P

But i agree 1024 768 is nice resolution

    I liked how you said

    "for the next generation sites"

Man I need to hook up with you guys. So i can expand my knowledge a bit more

    glad you liked the comments

good job, huge waiting time and agree with your policy on the resolution although i'm not sure it's a good one.

    like the view pods

i tried it at 10.30pm GMT on 3rd July, I have dialup 33.6 and it took bloody ages, but as always with FI, worth the wait.

    Like it a lot.

As for the resolution issues, I agree totally, bout time people came out of the dark ages aka 800x600, it is a ridiculously small size!!

Oh, and one question which we all want an answer for, when is FI:Revolution coming out?

    Please tell us!!

    Thx

    Danged sweet.
    Great interface and 3D concepts.

I just figured out the magic of FI's preloading system.
If you close the window before the movie finishes loading,
the next you start, it'll start loading where you left out.

I don't believe that happens with most sites.
    Pwahaha nice.

Or am I just dumb? (Meaning, that happens with all sites.)

    lol,

That happens on mine, I think it has something to do with server configuration and the temporary internet files on your computer. The loader is just the good old getBytesLoaded and getBytesTotal.

everything is made from scratch. We sample and sample, record, break glass in the office if we need a glass break sound for example.
Sometimes we use cd samples we have bought, but they arent very good. We have quite a large sound studio. You can see it in our site section "FI-Stockholm". Its on the floor below me

Dang. I want a sound studio, but I don't have the money to
set up stuff. All I got is a few simple things.

No wonder my sound effects suck.
