    fade with actionscript

    Hi guys.
I need to create transitions between some pictures into a MC. When I rollover a button a photo must dissapear fading and another one must appear. I want to do that with actionscript but I don't know how.

    Any ideas for the code?

    Thanks for the help.

Look in the Flash Samples files ("Help/Sampls") There is an exaple that pressing a button a picture fade out and another fade in. You can use on (rollover) than on(release) that the example use. If you don`t have this sample i can give it to you.

    Sutar:

The MC has only one frame per picture. No fade with tween. I want to create the fade with actionscript.

Maybe some loop using the alpha value of the graphic. But I don't know how.

Axristos: If you send me, it will be great!

    Thanks buddies

Made you one very simple suggestion. But - if you've got lots of images, it'd be wiser to load them dynamically, and switch the container's _alpha.
This is a very SIMPLE solution, though...

This is "almost" like the effect I am looking for Caramella, but I've got more than 2 images.
Ive got 4 images and 4 buttons. When I press a button, I need to fade between the actual image and the next one. Got it?
For example, Ive got images A, B, C, and D.
    and buttons A B C and D.

We suppose that when the movie plays at first time, image A is already visible. Then , for example, we press button C. It means that I need to fade out A to 0 alpha value, and C from 0 to 100. Do you understand? And next, for example, I press B. Then C fades out to 0 and C fades in to 100...

    I hope I'm clear.
    ... hope so.
