  1. #1
    Dear SWiSHERS,

Got my latest website up and running, with a "widescreen" intro movie.

I'm looking for some constructive feedback !!

http://www.brainrotting.com , wait a few secs for page to load, then click the MOVIE icon to see the SWiSH movie.
(dont forget to turn your speakers on !!)

Does it stream OK? anything weird happen with your browser / computer?

    Thanks for your time

    BRAINROTTING.

Great site ... loaded fast (I have DSL) ... I don't like the voice (It sounds to 'robotic' for the site.)

    I like it,

very trainspotting like it runs very smoothly, and I noticed no errors while playing... how about increasing the font size on the text, and perhaps adding some small effects too it..

other than that it looks good

    peace.

    P.S. welcome aboard!

Nice movie. I happen to like the robotic voice. What program did you use to create the voice? I think it might be fun to play with. Anyway...the movie is great, the only thing I noticed is that some of the effects didn't fade completely. I would consider maybe adding a Hide action right after the effect ends. But what do I know?

Very good....I liked the voice, sounded like Stephen Hawkin's mechanical voice. One error (I think!!!!). DTs was pronounced d.t.s. and i THINK it was refering to D.T.'s ...pronounced "dee tees"...stands for dementia tremors? Something like that. Loaded up/ran fine on my sloooow system.

    Cheers

    Thanks for the feedback ..

I tried to get Ewan Mcgregor for the voice over, but he's too busy with the next StarWars installment

    Glad you enjoyed it

    Hi,

I'm keeping that SWI to myself ...... for now!

It is actually quite a complicated movie. Lots of "start - Stop" sound behaviours. Preloader & If X then Y. OnClick, etc etc.

It was also quite hard not to let the MEDIUM obscure the MESSAGE. That is why on the main text body, i used only a short blur effect.

Is there any particular part you wanted to know about?? i'd be happy to let you know how it is constructed.

Orange and black, my favorite colours. The voice reminded me of a track from OK Computer by Radiohead. I loved it.

Great movie, love the Apple/Mac voice! Is it 'Fred'?

    TTS

I didnt use an Apple Mac but a small free TTS program.

I have had quite a few requests asking how to incorporate speech into Swish movies so if i get some time later, I'll explain how i did it, what program i used & post it to this forum.

    Regards!

    Just some spelling corrections..

I'm too new at this swish thing to help there:

    It's diarrhea and IMpregnating.

    Nice movie, though.
