Hey, that is some really nice stuff you have there

I have a question. I've never really understood how .pngs work... someone told me that they're really good to use for flash, but whenever I try and bring them in they are HUGE. So, I've just been settling for jpegs. Is there a trick to bringing .png files in?

    hehe nice site.

the light that follows your mouse doesnt change the lighting effects on the cracks of the wall =) lol i am so picky
I can only postulate the probability of performing at a paramount level of perfection praised by the pulchritudinous paragon whose only practice is to preserve such a paradigm.

    VERY EASY!

take a nice photoshop psd file, with as much transparency as you like, and bring it into fireworks MX. set the export settings to PNG8, with either 128 or 256 colors and an alpha channel (PNG32 are HUGE and not necessary really) and export it.

NB: if you save a PNG directly from fireworks MX, without exporting it, the file is not only huge, but is treated by Flash as a fireworks object, which can be fiddly, and not easily updated.

then simply bring your png into flash and hey presto! a nice indexed color image, with an alpha channel, and optimised.

cheers for your comments everyone. i'm sure the site isn't to everyone's taste, but i thought i'd try something different!

When making a site based on grafiti dont use a premade font, make your own, seeing repetitions in grafiti doesnt look good. i like the rest tho

    Nice site!

Agree with other people regarding the font.

Maybe it should be a little clearer to the user that you can change the music by pressing the chair.

    Like the tag wall too.

    Keep it up

    cheers

i didn't want to make the music change obvious to the user. sort of a little easter egg... erm.. of sorts...
thanks for your comments re: the font, but i'm afraid i've absolutely no time to go around creating full font sets. this is Brooklyn Kid, which serves my purpose well i think.

cheers guys, i'll let you know when V3 of the site is live.
