    Flashcom 1.5.1 update

    Hey all -
    Thought this might be useful:

    release notes:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...rn_mx_151.html

    download:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl..._updaters.html

Do read the installation instructions, it's not an installer, but just replacing files (don't forget to backup!)

    im confused....

"Calling receiveAudio(true) or receiveVideo(true) immediately after play will occasionally cause a few audio or video frames to be dropped. This is noticeable when playing back very short FLV files."

I wasnt aware of a receiveVideo() method?

or am i just being a dumbass

    Hey -
It's in the docs somewhere. I believe it works the same as receiveAudio() but of course for video.

    No installers for minor updates?

What is with not providing an installer for minor updates these days at MM? I noticed the 1.5.1 update provides instructions on how to do it all by hand, back it up, etc. If you have a lot of dev, integration and production servers to update it is a bit of pain. It is appreciated having instructions for doing it manually but still.

They did the same thing for Flex and I had to spend a lot time on it so I was bummed to see MM doing the same thing with FCS. Sorry for the gripe.

I have a dev version of FCS: is it possible to install the updater also in dev FCS or not?
