Like the site, and the buttons look good. I've tried to give you some "usful" feedback...

how about making the numbers on the loading bit non selectable.
    and..

You could split your movie up into different scenes, or loading different swf file dynamicaly, so that you don't have to download the whole movie before viewing it. 1mb is quite a lot for my 56k modem to download

    5.5 mb intro...lol

uhh, the site is nice, if not a little cluttered and confusing to navigate, and i was really hoping to find some downloadable movies, but other than the intro...a portfolio site should have more than just information.

    Still a work in progress

Hm - thanks for the feedback.

Some video has now been linked from the "films" page (more to come later).

Also, file sizes *somewhat* reduced. Intro at 4.9mb, site at 700kb. All of my potential clients are all on broadband connections, so it's kind of tailored for them

    Thanks again! Much appreciated!

    Nice work...

Just wondering...did you use any Video on this or was it all just jpgs (images)?

(I know that might sound like a dumb question but im really curious and i dont want to assume)

    Combo

    Hey Fov,

Some of it is video, the part of the building sliding by, was stuff I shot on a Canon GL1, de-interlaced at 30fps, imported the sequence of PNG's to Flash, and then erased every other 2 frames, and played back at 12fps (mainly to save size). All the rest in the piece are stills, including the Forum columns, which I layered a little lens flare over.

Thanks for the compliment! Glad ya liked it

Site is pretty cool, but you should definitely crank the file size down. 5 mb for an intro is way to much even if you are on broadband. I've tried downloading it at work (T3 line) and at home (512 dsl) and the loadtime is just to long. You could fix some of the size by saving out some of the jpegs at a lower quality (a lot of the time you can save a ton of space without noticing the reduced quality.)

A few times I was a bit confused about the text on the site cuz some of it is actual information and other stuff is just filler. It's always good to keep it simple (cuz the majority of "ordinary" people suck at computers).

Hope I was of any help

    cheers
