Nice work guys
excalibur if you want people to reply to your message why not put it as a post in the main art and anime board rather than the anim exchange

Great work Olly! I really enjoy your shorts. Very quality work. I love the shadow on the UFO and how the sheep becomes darker when the UFO is directly above it. Great Job man.

cool, this thread seems to be going strong. too bad i havent posted in my own thread for AGES.
i have been concentrating on web design for a while. heres what i came up with while experimenting.
http://www.cartoonfox.hostrocket.com
but now i think i'm ready to go back to animation. i've got a story for a christmas animation, staring cartoonfox and some of his friends, cartoonrabbit and cartoonbear, but that might change.
if all goes to plan, i could end up being maybe 3 minutes long.
but i'm gonna have to start off slow, i'm out of practice!
anyway, i'm glad everyone is enjoying this thread. keep up the great work everyone, and keep enjoying.
peace.

Olly K, you're not missing very much. hehe.. it was just a super fast demo I did for my students.
I'm not sure why you can't view it though. I've viewed it on several different machines and connections..

Wow, what a fun thread.
I just started getting into Flash, I'm still learning, but I'm finally able to finish some cartoons. Here's a pair of shorts I cooked up recently.

Wogoat: i'm very impressed! it's hard to believe that you are still a beginner!
Bacon man: i REALLY like that website design. nice, simple and clean. i remember some old designs you tossed around the board, and i think it's great on what you ended up doing (drastic change from the originals if i recall correctly :) )
anyways, good work everyone. i haven't really touched flash for a while. getting into more 3d stuff in school. no time for flash for me. but i would like to throw together a neat flash portfolio site. i do have a little flash game thingy i did last year, but i need to figure out how to externally preload a movie because a regular preloader doesn't work... oh well.

Great work Wogoat!
You say you're a beginner, thats very impressive!
The first one animation wise is a lot better, though I found the second one alot funnier
Radar Brain, I'm able to view your anim now, don't know why I couldn't before
I don't really get it to be honest, are the green blobs at the end suppossed to be puke?

I learned the basics of shape tweening about 4 years ago, but I lost interest in Flash due to other projects. I just started using it again a couple months ago and I'm trying to give myself a crash course in everything.
I'm working on a longer animation, but it'll probably take me at LEAST a month to finish it, but here's what I've got so far.

And Bacon, I love the site design. very sharp. And I hope some toons get posted there eventually, the ones I've seen of yours are fun.

Yeah.. there was nothing much to get. It was supposed to be puke in zero gravity. Like I say, it was a very quick demo just showing some of the tools in Flash.
I shouldn't even have posted it hehe.

Actually the card reading lady is the first time I've tried doing that.
With the other ones I posted I just drew them as is.
But I'm wanting the other one to be really smooth and fairly lifelike so I'm doing the sketchy version first to get the movements right.
After doing that I decided I should do a shorter animation with that method to see if it worked and this is what I ended up with it.
(Sorry if the joke's pretty tacky)

And that walk cycle looks very nice. Good work.
