    xml newbie: html formatting within xml-i've searched already

    Hey all;

    Before you all flame me, I've already done a search for this and have read many, many threads, but have yet to get the SIMPLE answer I'm looking for.

    Say I have this in an xml document:
    PHP Code:
    <catalog>
    <
    album>
    <
    imageNode jpegURL="img01.jpg">State of the World Compilation
    Bringing in talent from all over the hip hop map
    this album comes to the world in a time of dramatic change.</imageNode
    how do I go about formatting parts of it with bold or underline?

    Also, what about characters such as "",'', and () - how do I get these to properly display.

    I've tried using CDATA, but I'm not sure if I've got it set up right.

    I'm looking for the easiest way to format text in a dynamic text box loaded from an external xml file.

    Please help. Thanks to all in advance.
    Much Respect
    Bryce
