headphones with 5.1 surround speakers?

I have a 5.1 surround sound stero system. That means that I have an audio pci card in the back of my pc. On the audio card, there is no place for headphones to plug in. Therefore, I can't get it set up so that I can have my headphones work with my speakers. Any one know what to do?

You must have a spot. My card is a pci card and theres a spot to plug my headphones in. You probably have to unplug your speakers from teh card in order to use headphones.

Get a splitter.

My dell has a front access headphone port, so all I have to do is plug in my phones, and it automaitcally shuts off my other speakers for me.

I just swap. The cord I swap with is green.
