Can Flash MX make DVD menus?

Is it possible to create a DVD menu using Flash? What is the file format of a DVD menu file?

    Cheers, Andy

You are not able to just create a full menu for a DVD but you can create components such as animated buttons and backgrounds same them as JPG or AVI and them import them into your FAV DVD authoring program.

setting stuff like button roll overs will not work but you could make two jpgs to do the same thing most people would use photoshop for this kind of stuff

Interesting...now all I need is a camera, a movie editing software, and a DVD authoring program.

I don't quite get what you mean - when you say 'kills the computer'.

    Mine all works fine - running on a 2.4 ghx P4 - 1gb Ram & 128mb graphics card..........

You probably just need a higher spec PC - which in all fairness - is required and standard when doing stuff like this.

    AS IN.......

The final result will be compiled and run on Joe Public's home DVD player. DVD Menus nowadays are amazing in quality, they have full motion video, 3D rendered scenes, graphics flying around and all sorts. So yes, I mean DVD players. You need a powerful PC to create the menu in the first place, but once compiled it will run fine on any dvd player.

It can't - READ what I wrote above:

Macromedia Director MX is you baby when it comes to this - do all your animated stuff and graphics in flash, illustrator and photoshop, then put it all together and publish in in director.
You make things like BUTTONS in flash, then import them into DIRECTOR, make the interface then COMPILE the DVD interface IN DIRECTOR.
