Looking for "cool sites" for single person studios

Hi, I'm looking for sites such as flashlevel.com, a studio that's basically run by one person. I'm looking for the successful ones really, such as the aforementioned site. 2advanced.com was at one point a one person studio. I'm just curious who some of the up-and-comers are, and what they're capable of doing alone before they make it big.

of course, but like any other public boards you'll get all sorts of comments, positive or not, and while we try to encourage constructive feedback some people like to demonstrate their ability to express themselves with just one syllable. Helpful? no, but that's the way it is sometimes.

Okay this site has been around for ages now and I'm working on something more 'corporate' however it is original and very different to most so check it out and let me know what you think

(yes I am one person, although my doctor says I need to work on my multiple personality disorder, no he didn't, I've told you before shutup, oh my God I need to cry, look not while 'the man' is typing.... urghhhh)

Just to say that sofake site is ingenious, is that bloke Jordan stone from the US or UK, very innovative the best one yet!

Longerlife, I like havin a quiz while the preloader is going, definately kills the time as it is a while to load. Sorry I thought your site was v. old school (Did you use Flash ver.1).

    Not my bag at all.

    Jordan Stone cracks me up.
his view on life is excellent... take life as it comes... and never take life seriously etc... all the usual stuff... but he actually does it.
the guy used to be a rodeo cowboy but had an acident as far as im aware.
he still does that stuff but is a webdesigner as well.

unless he was just pulling the leg of the interviewer the guy has done some pretty cool stuff in his life.

as for the site, it was, and still is very origional.
its a very good navigation technique, which sadly if many others use they will most probably be branded a ripper... even though thousands of sites all use the same method of navigation on thier sites.

its pretty simple to do as well.

anyways, enough of my rambling... his site is a very good one.
most of the people i know of are all mentioned above.
i was a one man band but im no longer officially freelance so to speak so go to www.cottonwall.com instead and stare at the monkey for an hour.

I think it looks nice. The transitions are nice. The only thing I didn't like was when you mouseover the button thing, the color turns to a flat blue. I don't like the flat color coz everything else looks high-techish. Other than that, I think it looks cool.

Anyway, I was asking for a list of sites because I wanted to see what their content is like, not just the layout/design Thanks for showing the link though.

    Sad now :(

Oh well thanks for your reply Alistair (nice name btw!) I'm sorry you didn't like it, I still think its pretty original the different elements 'talk' to each other, you can drag and shrink the ticker, and Channel Gadget has some quite cool animations if a little cartoony (is that a word?)... whatever

(Oh God I'm telling people I'm good, how sad is that!!)

Come to think of it I'm sorry I posted this now, you are right I should go back to data inputting and leave web design alone...
