    Crazy Aspect

What's with the trend to push your site into the center of the browser? I've seen more sites recently that have the content down the center 50% of the screen with 25% on either side. Not that I don't like them, but is this quickly becomming standard/"the in thang'"? Maybe I'm just crazy.

    Example:

My guess is that it's just easier to read thing in the center. PLus it looks all nice a simetrical(Excuse my spelling). Even I have fallen into this "trend"

it just seems like a logical thing to do...why have it all the way to the left or right? Or a little off center?

moreover it's logic if you think of different resolutions. why someone running on a 1200 x whatever should see a rectangle on the top left corner?? better to center it and seem to "use" the whole space.

Nayades is right. It looks much better to be centered on higher resolutions than pushed to one side. The space on the side is a nice design element.
