flowers2mail.com - mail virtual bouquets... what do u think?
Hi there,
I just finished the English version of my ecard-site flowers2mail.com. The idea is that people can arrange their own bunch of flowers and send them by mail.
I'd love to get some feedback, aspecialy on the usaility and the texts. I'm not a native english speaker so please tell me if I use the wrong words or expressions at my site. As you will see, there is not much text at all.
Thanks a lot!

I need a product customization flash+PHP application for an e-commerce web site. It should be possible to arrange a bouquet of flowers by dragging and dropping flowers from a source bar into a vase same as your example. Please contact me parmwebdesigner at gmail.com.

hi,
your site is a really nice idea. I'm gonna play devils advocate here and just tell you things that i did on instinct which you may want to address:
1. I dragged the flower to the vase, but it didnt stay there because it wasnt actually IN the vase. There's obv a difference (you can see the stem if its outside of the vase) and I understood this on the 2nd attempt but maybe you could consider making it a bit "easier" to put flowers in the vase, if you know what i mean?
2. I clicked the Help button, and followed the instructions but was suprised that when I clicked the flower (since i was following the instructions) that the text at the top changed back to home. This meant that to continue reading the instructions I had to click on Help again. This was a bit frustrating. This applies to all the buttons at the top - maybe you could change it so that they are independent of the rest of the interface? i.e. if the user clicks on Contact it stays there until the user clicks on Home for example.
3. When customising the vase, I found that I had less control over some of the more complex designs (and in fact one or two of the more simple ones). For example, I clicked the vase that (I'm assuming) is based on a pool ball (the one with the numbers on) and was *slightly* disappointed to find that I could only choose a colour for the strip with the number on it and not the rest of the vase. If you could make it so that the user slaps a bit of paint wherever they want on the vase I think the user would enjoy this experience more.
Anyway, I think thats it for the "negative" points. As I said, its a great idea - well done! - I really like the gift card bit too! - can you make it so that the user can change the colour of the string? LOL. I'm a bit picky as you can tell haha.
Congrats!
Spag
