    big AVI in Flash

I am using Flash MX 2004 Professional and trying to integrate an AVI. The size of that AVI is about 140MB (8 min) and Flash is crashing when I am trying to import that AVI.

Is there any possibility to integrate that movie?

Thank you for your help in advance!

How much memory do you have? I would recommend 512. If the AVI is on a networked drive, copy it to a local drive first.

You can also trying compressing it into an MPEG using some other software, and importing that into Flash.

    not enough RAM?

I have 128MB installed - and I try to convert the AVI into a FLV to link it as an external FLV. I even downscaled the AVI to 14MB.

    My approach is:
Importing it into the Library with LAN bandwith (Takes about 10 Minutes but works)
Properties at Library states 12GB of video data (??)
Export als FLV -> Machine hangs

Is there any other way to link to this AVI out of the Flash Movie? Am I doing something wrong when importing the AVI?

    Thank you for your help!
