    nearly finished. almost last check...

    ive posted my site a few times on here as its progressed and its got good feedback. ive done more work on it now and i just wanted more opinions and some questions answered:

    1> how can i make the pages less boring? each page is the same and doesnt make you want to watch it over again.

    2> starting to think more about sounds. im looking for an ambient sound but i cant find one. i want a sort of deep humming noise, like on 2advanced.com's loading page. i think it would go well with my site. does anybody know of one like this?

    services page is incomplete and contact page hasnt been started yet so dont get frustrated clickin about when nothing happens
    ----->here we are look<-----
    cheers

    hi,
    the site looks pretty good, best thing I like about is, its orginal! so many times you find freelancers all making the same type of pages. I noticed your using a little background image within the main window, maybe use different images for each section? might make things less boring. Also another thing that might spice it up is having a background on the sides of your movie? koves.net, is an example of what i kinda mean.

    dont want to burst your bubble just yet, but the site is a little small. I could not read anything easily. I also know that it would be a major redesign to make it larger, so for the next time try to make it a little bigger. Excellent transitions and I like the work section with the flash, dw and fireworks logo rollovers. Perfect for a portfolio site. Would be glad to see the finished product. Keep up posted.

    i cant find any sound loops that fit well. could anyone point me too a good source for them? FK's is good, but just not what im looking for. i need something that will fit well and not too dominant over the graphics.

    still dont know how too make the pages different from each other. im looking at stock photos and editing them but this method has been overused in websites.
    any ideas?
    cheers

    Music wise, the site makes me think of Space Oddysey, so you might want to look into recordings of Strauss: Also Sprach (you know, the 2001: Space Oddysey music). I'm inclined to think that there's some orchestra out there who would let you use their recording for a nominal fee, or free for credits on the site, who knows? 2nd or 3rd movement, not the first one, which everyone recognizes. I'm popping it into the drive right now, if you were to make a loop of the low hum before the horns kick that would be cool. It's a great low hum, made the old fashioned way with a section of contra basses.

    Another piece that may fit is Adagio for Stings by Samuel Barber. Very emotionally charged, and starts with an ambient feel to it, and builds. You can break the synth trend by using real music, w00t!

    In the portfolio, you pop out 6 hexes in a real neat way. Have you considered using that type of display for the Services section also?

    That's a great little site you've built.
    if (you expect help){
    then.help(others);
    }else{
    gotoAndCheck.aSite4.somePoorBastardinSiteChex;
    }

    i remember seeing this a while ago when there was very little content in it. very cool indeed, from start to finish. i love the static animation on the screens as they appear in the bigger menus.

    good effects aaahhhh and the mouse pointer as well, very smooth.

    jor133d - cheers mate

    SSC Cosmic - ill look into the music youve mentioned, sounds interesting. im redoing the services page, but i think ill do it a different way than the portfolio. ill use shapes that are external to the main hex so it should add a bit more dimension to my pages.

    altiquek - cheers. i thought custom cursors where under used, and in cases wer they are used, they are very shoddy. i tried to give it a bit more in the way of animating on rollover, and i think it works.

    thanks for all the comments.

    I think the overall design of the site is GREAT!!!.
    Your text is very small and difficult to read. Make the text bigger so your visitors can read it.
    Other than that the site is smooth and functions well.

    extremely nice site... flows well.. great concept.

    My only beef is it is nearly impossible to read in 1600x1200 but I think you should be fine, considering many many users of your target audience are on 800x600.
