Hey all, I was looking at some of the people's work in here and I couldn't believe it! Thats why im askin if I could get someone to draw characters for my game. I'm hoping melmann (if you read this will because I love your work) but anyone will do. I also need someone to edit my sprite to make it look like he's walkin more fluently. The attachment is the sprite that I need to be drawn and edited for the walking. Anyhelp would be greatly appriciated
Besides I'm not regarding it as work, I want whoever wants to do it to do it because they want to do something different or out of there own free will. I'm not saying you have to do it butit would be really great if I could get someone. They will ofcourse get full credit and a mention in my game. I dont know what else I can give them.
First off, it would help if you were able to post a demo of your game engine. Most contributors, if they are going to work for free, will want to know they are working with someone skilled enough to bring the project to fruition.
Next, it helps to define responsibilities and a timeline up front. Being able to project manage is just as important as wanting to make something cool.
Finally, I think you'll find people on the board more receptive to your request if you stated that you needed help or advice in making your character work, rather than requesting someone to do it for you. You obviously went as far as to make a cool character for your game - it should only be a bit more work to tweak it with the help that most of our members are happy to give.
