Video streaming in Flash
Hi guys, i have a question (like duh.)
I need a way to stream video in Flash. Okay, I know the default way of downloading Flash content is to stream it. My query is rather, I don't want the video to be stored on the visitor's hard drive. not even in the temporary cache. Is there a way for that?
Thanks y'all

Only by using the Flash Comm server, it may be possible with 2004 - but I'm not sure.

I'm using MX myself, but it's no problem, I've decided to just use Windows Media.
Thanks a bunch, Wheels!

Hi.
There are a couple of ways to prevent caching and to provide additional security.
Here are a couple of links:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...nt_caching.htm
http://www.macromedia.com/support/fl...no_caching.htm
We'll be posting a tutorial on a method for secure streaming using Flash video in our tutorials section later this week.

Hey, thanks man. Those links were very helpful. I'll be certain to use them in my upcoming projects. Unfortunately my boss has vouched for Windows Media on this one
