Hi I wanted to get this effect with my text,

I understand is easy and its done with swish, but..

I can't seem to get a linear gradient like the one used here.. Any clues?

hi,

rightclick on the text object an convert it to shapes. now you can apply gradient fills to the individual letters (under the shape tab).
