Deleting scenes from sample "first.swi" template

I just downloaded the trial version of SwishMax so I'm VERY new to Swish. I'm using the "first.swi" template from the sample category to create an intro page. I only need what is available in scene 1 to create the page, but when I attempt to delete the 2nd and 3rd scenes, I get an error message saying scenes 2 and 3 cannot be found. How do I use only scene 1 for my intro and delete the other two scenes?

Thank you in advance for helping a BRAND NEWBIE!!

    Hi miltons,

    Wlecome to Swish Help Forum.

I was able to delete the scenes without any difficulty.

Make sure that the SwishMax is not in "Play Movie" mode
    control>stop

Simply click on time on the scene in the left outline panel that you would like to delete and then press delete.

    It should work ok.

    Blessings

I was just messing around with that file to see if I could delete the scenes. I didn't have any problem deleting them, but it appears that all of the sound files are missing. hmmmmm

    Hi ddunn26,

When I delete Scene 2 and 3 and leave scene1 intact the two sounds that are in Scene 1 are still there and play ok. However, the beep sounds that are in the other two scenes are now long there.

I also noticed that the pre-loader that comes with this sample looks for scene 3 in the pre-loading process.

If only scene 1 is going to be used then the pre-loader would need be to be adjusted to fit the new layout.

    Blessings

Thank you for helping me out, I REALLY appreciate it. I've found a way to use all three scenes, but now I'm noticing something else a little weird. I changed all the background colors to black (using the fist.swi sample) but I now notice a white box flashes before the word "loading appears. I can't seem to find where it is so I can change it to black also????

Can you look at it and let me know if it appears (the white box) and if our homepage appears after the Intro - sometimes the site doesn't come up. Thank you kindly.

An swi is a much more effective way to figure out

    Hi miltons,

I looked at your site. Yes, the white box does appear for a very short time.

I tried to download your swi at the link you provided, butthe link doesn't seem to work. Could you check it out and see if there is an error in the link?

    Thanks

Just remove the period at the end of the link/sentence.

    Hello miltons,

I downloaded your file and noticed that in the pre-loader you have the "Movie" stage colour as black. For me... changing the colour of the stage didn't really work well.

    What I changed:
What I did was in the pre-loader scene I placed a black shape over the complete stage and placed this shape at the back..behind the text.... then I put a "place" action on the "shape"in the timeline at frame 1.

Also placed a "remove" at frame 45 on the shape timeline.

I uploaded your file to my server and tried it and now there is no more white flash.

    Hope this helps.

    Blessings
