    Fade Volume on Sound

With all the people making sound mixers, it seems to me that it can't be too difficult to tell SWISHmax to fade volume of a long running sound (not a loop that will end soon) from current level to zero when someone clicks something or leaves a scene. "Can't be too difficult" does not mean I figured out how, so I did some seraching on this forum and found an old post, where AlieninLondon said he had a sprite that did that.

    http://www.flashkit.com/board/showth...d+fader+plugin

    In his post, he says,
"I made some plugins in Flash that you can use at certain frames in Swish to load into a sprite which will fade out any sound or set it to a specific volume (percentage). That way you can decide where you want to fade out any song you're playing directly in Swish. You can download them from my forum here (you'll need to register - free) or you can also download a sound fader plugin from www.swish-db.com"
I looked on swish-db.com and his new site, but I do not see them. Does anyone know where I can find something similar? Or did I just not see that it really is built into SWISHmax? Thanks for any help or direction you can provide.

    fade on click?

    that's a lot of scripting.

Fade on drag control is less so,,,

    Check out Brian Ayers site
    He has mixers

Thanks for trying, but I really can't use a mixer. I need to fade it all out without dragging. I would be willing to convert a mixer even if it means typing out 100 frames of set volume at 99%, set volume at 98%, set volume at 97%. Unfortunately, all the mixers seem to contain swf files that cannot be edited. If I am lucky, AlienInLondon's files are still out there somewhere. If I am unlucky, I guess I'll have to take on the task of educating myself. If I learn all the finer points of SWISHmax, can it be done or should I start learning Flash?

    Dead Link

That is exactly what I need, though the thread shown above has a dead link pointing to www.hfluk.com/examples/setvolume.zip.

I did some searching on that site and found them in a different thread. For anyone else who sees this and wants them, they are (currently) at http://www.designsxchange.com/forums...?showtopic=132

Thank you for this wonderful tool. It looks like it will be easy to use.
