    Add Points to Effect

    Sorry, more newbie questions.

I am using a Roll in Swiss Roll and am trying to figure out, is it possible to make the path have more nodes. Do I have to tie multiple roll effects end to end or is there a way to modify the path?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Swiss Roll?

    I'm not familar with it
can you provide the .sfx or an swi demonstrating it?

I don't think you'll be able to adjust the path points
Only start and middle (it really depends on the sfx)
(I'd need to see the sfx)
However you may be able to place the object in a sprite
and apply a separate effect to the sprite itself.

Usually you can control the span area thru placing it in
    a sprite.

Actually it looks as if this one is not really very customizable - no start, middle, end controls (it is under Appear Into Position in the Effects listing). You could move it while the effect is on (under the motion tab) but not along a path without multiple effects.

It's getting so I can't recognize my own handwriting....

It's a variation of credit spin one of my old sfx's
Here's one that is more editable

Don't forget to save the .sfx separately.

Thanks for the replies. What you posted seems quite a bit different than what I am trying to do.

The attached file is similar to a bigger one that I am working on. What I would like is for the button to make a couple of jogs in its path on the way in.

    Thanks again.

In that case you could encase your image with effect
    in a sprite.
Then use simple move effects on the sprite itself.

Select the sprite and use the Motion Path control
from the layout panelIt's the icon that looks like
two squares and a triangle with connecting dots
