Organize & Contruct Advice?
I built a site and although it is after the fact...
I have a feeling there may be a better way to accomplish this:
http://aaacambriamotel.com/terry/
I have three layers. Bottom is the background B and header bar.
Middle is my content and Top my navigation bar.
Clicking a button goes to a webpage that loads bottom, middle and top.
My client wanted the html text blurb on the index.html but not on any other page so I created movies and load them onto the other pages (amenities.html, about.html, directions.html etc).
I had the thought that this method would provide faster loads?
Is there a better approach to this type of site?

I moved this to Swish Site Check as it's more design related than technical.
If you are looking to break this up into smaller movies to minimize the load time, you could use Load Movie actions to load the subsequent movies into a sprite. This way, each movie is only loaded if needed, and each movie will actually load faster because the background & nav bar will be there. It also makes editing/updating much simpler.
While changing my profile, I accidentally clicked the link that said
"Add 'Dead Rabbit' to your Ignore List"
so now I can't talk to myself anymore...

VERY nice! I really like the contrasting greens because it makes the photos stand out very well. It loaded great. I would change the "TITLE NAME" in your opening html file though. On your opening page it just says Admin- and should probably have the name of the inn instead. The photos are really nice....did you do them or did they furnish them for you?

Good Job!
Its a pretty good job
watch the empty unused space as

But it runs perfect
I like it.

Well there are a couple of pretty big issues with this site.
1) It only works in IE. No Mozilla, Firebird or Opera... let alone what might happen on a MAc.
2) The HTML text should be moved into the swf and would make an ideal preloader substitute. All you may need in HTML is a contact email.
3) The site scrolls off the bottom of the page ( when you load IE ) at a resolution of 1024 x 768 and with a smarter design does not need to.
4) I have to say that the Javascript you have plastered all over the place is where your browser problems realy begin.
It would be interesting for you to explain the purpose of all that JS.
Cheers

Thanks all for your kind and or encouraging words.
Photos, half I provided and the other half were shot with by the owner with her new digital camera.
Javascript? SwishMax puts that in there when you as it to create a html page for you. I don't get that either?
Size? I hate the size but have broken from my traditional ways to make the client happy. Her main requirements are for it to print a full 8.5X11 page with the background. I wanted to do the site in html but she insisted that the photos have rounded corners with a rounded corner buff frame and that the backgound B show through.
HTML on the index page is there solely for SE's. And now that SE's are begining to index Flash content; particularly url's encoded within that may prove to be unnecessary.
I'm guessing that the only other way to have set this up would have been to create sprites in which the other pages could have been loaded into. I still have to have a bunch of external movies...
