    monitor going out?

    How can I tell my monitor is going out or needs adjusting

    Now its starting to flick to differant colors , just a slight flick

    now it looks kinda blue, I can't get the color adjustments to hold and look good??

    Is it dieing?

    it could be dying. i had a monitor go bad on me once, and it sounds like what you are experiencing. it did all kinds of weird stuff for a few months, and then just stopped turning on. good luck!

    Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

    Jiggle the video cable. Could be loose where it connects to the monitor.

    I have the same color problem with my Compaq monitor. The monitor turns purple because of the vga cable. Just trying moving it around in different locations on the cable. Could be the problem.

    Thank, I think it might be the cable its a cheap belkin, other ones I have seen are thicker and more ridged, do you think that could be the problem

    hmm, i had the same issue with a belkin kv switch. I replaced the cables and got a solid connection and the problem never reared its Magenta / Blue head again...

    If you have a degauss (demagnitize) button, sometimes that helps.

    I do have that button and i just puched it! well see with that, do you think a degausing coil for TV's would help it, I used it on a normal tv and fixed the color correction, it was about 5 min from the trash
