    any ideas how this effect is done....

    HTML site, and it seems like they've somehow got a simple flash movie that fades in a green colour to load almost BEHIND the text/images in then HTML not on top of it.

    Not that i like the effect, its annoying! but intrigued to know how its actually done.

    Is it one of those I-frame things with the flash movies wmode set to "transparent". I thought those things only loaded content above any HTML.

    just never seen this sort of thing before, doesn't look like a typical popup.

    if you stay on the page long enough the background colour of the entire page slowly fades to green and then back out to white again.

    Its part of that HULK banner they have on the top.

    I think it's JavaScript. I don't know the language myself, but I think it's in here somewhere.
