    Side effects of Creatine

I've been taking the stuff for about 2 months now...and it really helps build muscle when combined with hearty workouts.

My friend told me that it has no side effects and is produced in your kidneys anyways, but I would like a second opinion. I drink it as directions specify, and dont abuse it...so can I be in danger?

if u drink alota milk or dairy products you should be fine the only side effect with creatine is decreased bone strength but dairy takes care of that

if you want muscle mass "quickly" and safely, consider using protien drinks.

If you are patient and want to do this in a tradional way, try eating lots of eggs and chicken (high protien meals).

I have never taken creatine and won't try it but that is just my opinion.

Then goto the Gym and work out for a few hours. The come home stuff my self full again and fall asleep. Its starting to give me alot more mass and the working out keeps all that from becoming fat turns it into muscle and cuts real nicley.....

yeah same here (a few years ago!). Now I am doing more of cardio workout to reduce the mass slightly and for more definition.
I don't do intensive weight training anymore as I used to.

out of interest, how old are you and how long have you been training?

I would stay well away from Creatine if I were you.

Not that I'm an expert or anything like that but I know that when Roy Evans was in charge of Liverpool FC, the players were told to use creatine to help them train. A lot of those players working with him went on to suffer horrendous injury problems throughout their careers.

Robbie Fowler, Jamie Redknapp (my team's captain, although you'd never guess it, bloke is ALWAYS injured ), John Scales...all were fine before Evans took control. None of them have been the same since.

You don't want do this stuff then possibly suffer for it later on in life, its not worth the risk in my opinion.

I read one of the side-effects of using creatine is that you 'smell funny'. god knows where or how but it was on a bbc write up about exercise. Protein powder in soup is a winner I hear

exactly. this is the #1 reason for not pumping yourself up. you are going to have to keep up your regiment for the rest of your life, or you are going to end up like meatloaf up there. go for the triathelete/swimmer body, not the shot-putter.....

Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences.

    Pwahahaha!!!!

I was just about to back out of this thread, as I was finding the topic more and more boring, but I'm glad I stuck with it to the end to see that.

I thought the reason Bob developed big jugs was because he had his testicles removed and thus lost his testosterene

not because he started slacking on his workouts.

still you have to admire that rack

I would say you would be best off getting a doctors advice as a second opinion. I know creatine is a banned substance in many professional sports as not that much is known about it's long term effects.

I would steer well clear and work out the old fashioned way.

    I suggest going to
    www.bronzebowpublishing.com/forum

and ask John Peterson this question. He's a big health guy and has used a lot of different muscle building drinks.

He's 51 and does handstand pushups with a 50 pound weight vest on.

    I can't even do a handstand

    50 lbs in 2 months?

that possible, i mean thats not far off a pound a day!

10 000 calories, jeez bet an elephant don't go through that in a day.

makes mental note: never invite bobybuilder types round for dinner....
