    www.jvcreacion.com - portfolio

    Hi
I have re-designed completely my old site (see it down in my signature if you're interested) and the result is this: www.jvcreacion.com
I'd like to know all your comments on what you like or what you don't or how to improve it, bugs, etc. The usual.
There yet some sections half done, but mostly all content is working.
    Thanks

    Thanks for replying!
Well, my movie runs at 35fps, I think that if I speed it up more than it may cause some crash in older machines. I don't know. May be someone can share a hint on that particular.

Now, I will be more specific in what I'd like to know, in case some else (hopefully) wants to give me some feedback:

    - is it clear that the portfolio boxes belong to the first box to the left?
    - is there a gap of a couple of seconds when you click some item till it begins loading?
    - how do you feel about colors?
    - in section "servicios">"animacion flash", do you think it's appropiate to have a flying pig...?

    Any comments are welcome

i had no idea that i had to rollover the eye to get into the site. i would recommend that you dont have to.
i love how the eye zooms on and matches the railroad background.
the navigation gets a little annoying after a bit because you have to wait for the other box to minimize before the one you want will maximize.
if you keep on pressing the play button for the audio, the song will duplicate so you have 2 songs going at once. also, on juanvi web design, the audio carries over.

Quite a busy site you've got going there. I agree with dbarbarian, no need really for the eye to activate the main content of the site. Not sure if its to with how graphic intensive the site is but the frame appears rather low. If you can up this or optimise your graphics so that they run faster, that would slicken your site a lot.

    To answers your queries:

It's clear that the portfolio boxes belong to the left menu but maybe you could exentuate this by making the colours more obviously exclusive?

There is a strange gap between clicking and items loading. Have no suggestions as to what this might be.

The colours work quite well but like I said, perhaps you could make it obvious which colours are assigned to which section.

Er, didn't see a flying pig but can't see any reason why it would offend, hehe...

Main quibble for me was a) the loading time (was quite slow) and b) the music repition. After loading up various sections from the portfolio, the music overlapped with the sound from that section and then when it came back to main page started up a new instance of the same song. So by the end of exploring your site there were about 10 instances playing which gets very annoying. You definitely need to work on this issue.

Otherwise, looks like you've got plenty of content to work around. Good luck...

    Thanks guys!
    OK, let me explain myself.
The eye roll over is supposed to be part of the "message" of my little intro. The four words there(creativity, communication, interaction and vision, in case you didn't figure it out) form a kind of hieroglyfic which is easy solved out by following the arrow of "interaction" or taking the word "vision" as "see it" or "enter".
Apart from this boring tale, what I like is the surprise effect when you rollover the eye, so I don't think I will change that by now, but good remark anyway.

Chadrh, I knew I had adds, but thanks for reminding

About the sound... yeah I've had severe headaches while doing the site and seems I'll had them again.
I knew about the overlapping if you press twice the play button but didn't about the other.
There are only two sections with their own sound: portafolio>animacion flash>clan darkness & juanvi web design
When any of them is loaded the main sound is supposed to fade out.
I works here and in some other computers I've checked.
So, Parsonsgfys, didn't the music stop when loading those sections? (or when clicking on a link to a website?)
Does it stops for some other people?

I'll check out also the gap when you clik and the loading times, thank you.
