menu and it's userfriendlyness, I need your opnion

    Hi everybody,

I haven't put up site for 1,5 years, but I hope you can take the time to give it a review.

It's a dutch-only site, but the content is not important. The site is made for a vetenarian.

The only thing I would like to know is:"Is the menu structure clear enough for the visitor".

If you could review the subject "HOND" (that's the second button), because that part is finished.

If it's NOT clear how to surf this site, please state why and where you got stuck.

    the adress is : http://www.designkit.nl/joris/pap

your help is more then appriciated!

    Hi

This is a good looking site and it is always difficult to construct a nav system when there are so many sub levels to it but I think it works fine I just think that your main nav is a little dull compared with the rest of the site and I would have put it at the top as its a little lost where it is at the moment

    Hi,

Navigation is very easy, no comments on that
The sub menu's are easy to find and explore.

    Small things:

I would start with an image at the Flash part when it opens, now it's just a little empty.

Maybe give the scrollbar a flat color (only outline or so). The Windows XP style scrollbar doesn't really fit the site.

    Nice site

Top or bottom, I don't really mind, I think it fit's well there.
The main menu is consistent and I wouldn't put any image like buttons there; people get easely lost.

So you would remove the image and only keep the buttons?

No, the images are great for the submenu's. I would just stick with the navigation you have, what I meant was that I wouldn't use images as buttons for the main navigation.

    Hi

I agree with LJD, I think your main navigation is a little lost where it is. Certainly moving it to the top would make things a little clearer.

Also, I think you navigation would work better if you stuck to one style of menu. The opening menu is a very common means of navigation and the sub-nav is certainly a lot more creative. Why not use this secondary nav throughout? Navigational consistency can make a website, in my opinion.

Of course I have no idea how long this might take for you to implement - it's just a suggestion. There's no reason why it couldn't work though.

Otherwise, I like what you've done...

    Well thank you everybody!

The menu is a lot of work because everything is actionscript. I was just really demotivated because some people didn't seem to find their wat through the site. It's my second flashpage so, i was kinda proud hahaha but it turned out as a bummer because of the user-friendlyness.
I think i'll just make a "HELP"page or something, because the site needs to be a "explored". Thanks again!

    Hi

i don't think that any comment here implied that they could not get around your site easily quite the contrary in fact

we were just commenting on the look of the main nav and its position on the page

Your site is very easy to get around
