    check for yoga site

    hey there

i just finished this site for a yoga center.

she wanted it to be funky yet colorful but also incorporate the "chakras" (yoga symbols) into the site...

the site is excellent for what its supposed to do. couple of points
I really dont see the point for scrollbars...
Im not fond of the shape tweenings on the menu
rather than that I like it a lot

i love the transitions. They look really nice.

I kind of don't like how the text box as the tranclucent white box over the grahpics. The background graphics didn't seem to have any reason for what shape they are so why don't you make them go around the text box and support it instead of conflicting with it?

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else, the swirly transitions rule!

    And
I really dont see the point for scrollbars...
I think this is because there is no real content on there as yet.

The one criticism i would have about it is that it appears to be floating around in space a little. The Ohm symbols and stuff just seem to 'disappear' at the edge of the flash file.

Although it's clearly not finished yet, so maybe I'm concerned for no reason!

    thanks all

yeah the scrollbars are there because theres gonna be a bunch of text, and the pics in the background on the left represent what the different chakras represent.
the first one is "all elements" and so is the second. then it goes, ether, air, fire, water, and earth.

yeah i was thinking about just putting a light grey thick but not too thick of a border around the whole thing so it's a little more concealed

thanks for the comments guys keeep em coming

This is probably exactly what I would have done. Just to give it that little extra bit of definition.

Beautiful transitions! The menu needs some work. Not very counter intuitive. Site has a nice feel to it.

ive noticed alot of complaints about the nav
any suggestions on how to spiff it up a bit?
i dont want to make it an eyesore, or the main focal point, but i'd like to make it a bit more spiffy.

well, menu is fine, though i HIGLY suggest that you change your font for the menu.

something to compliment or blend with the theme... seriously.

for your text content, why don't you change the font for that as well?

try it.. there are hundreds of free fonts out there to download.

    still, the site is alright!
