    special character url-encoding problem

    I'm trying to use url-encoding to get the symbol to show up. I know the coding is %99, but I keep getting the symbol instead. I've tried different fonts and they all give the same result. Why would this be happening?

    I'm running MX2004 on XP Pro (portuguese settings)!


    trace (unescape("%E2%84%A2"));

    btw, %99 returns ? on my system.
