Okay, due to popular demand and the request to have an ongoing, ever-evolving, open photoshop/image battle, the "Kung Fu" thread has now been opened to all, and made a sticky. But they are some rules...
Simply put... the rules are as follows:
• image is 700*350.
• image can be rotated.
• image filesize should be kept under 120k at at all times if you plan to use the [*img] embedding otherwise, use [*url] for bigger files.
• some parts of the previous image have to be used in your volley/image.
• no people limit.
• have fun.
hey guys... cool start. OG, your entry is pretty good. just a bit less filter and more careful selections on your masks/eraser and it would make it even more top notch.
with photoshop im not sure how to add or create brushes, textures and stuff.
do you guys make your own brushes and textures, and could you through some tips my way?
hey OG. making brushes, patterns and textures what not are easily created.
moreso than you'd think.
having a scanner helps too. believe it or not, most of my textures come from me dirtying up a piece of paper, scanning it, then using levels to make it pop out. changing the layer application method to screen or so will just make it apply to the layer directly below it.
just play around. and search a bit for the textures and brush making. some good, concise tutorials are out there.
