need assistance with Flix Lite and wmv files

I just purchased and installed Flix Lite for the purpose of converting my wmv files into flash content. My problem is that when I try to open a wmv file, I get a message saying flix couldn't find a codec to read this input clip. The message repeats itself and follows with a final message saying it couldn't find a suitable importer for the source file and that the required drivers for this file may not be installed.

The wmv files I am attempting to convert are ones that I created using Microsoft Photo Story (a part of the Digital Media Enhancement Pak for Microsoft Plus). Photo Story allows you to create movies using digital photos with music and/or narration.

The files play just fine through my Windows Media Player (9) so what can I do to open them in Flix?

Hi.
Flix Lite, unlike Flix Pro, requires Windows Media Player 6.4. If you play your wmv file through the Windows Media Player v. 6, it will automatically install the codec required for Flix Lite to convert the video.
If you have problems locating that player on the Microsoft website contact Wildform Technical Support (www.wildform.com/support) for more assistance.
