    Making the flash gray bg bigger?

    Hi,

    How can I make the gray background in flash bigger? this is because my platform game will scroll the bg. But the workfloor wont get bigger so I cant make my levels bigger

    i dont think u can. but heres a solution: put ur level in an mc and put it on the stage at 50% of its size. if u dubble click it now it is half the size it will be and u can then edit a lot more of it.

    A better way, which in theory could give you extremely long levels, is to break the levels up in to big "tiles". Maybe a few screen widths wide each. Having just one HUGE MC "tile" to store your entire level will start to get very slow to scroll, not to mention the problem with it you've already found.

    There are a few disadvantages like making each super-tile join at the edges and such, but in the long run i definately think it's worth it.

    yes I that I could do. But im a n00b at AS and im using a engine I got from some1 one the forum.

    I solved the problem with the bg by butting it to the left and draw a new piece and than put it back.

    you can resize the stage temporarily to a max of 2500px in order to get the extra space you need.
