need a quick check up
Im making this thing and although its still in construction, theres already alot done. Check it out, constructive criticism is always welcome. Alot of it's content is xml driven.
So the portfolio section works too but is still missing some images and textfields. Services has no content though. Um, and experimental has a bit of content in it. The Home template is still devoid of content though. But ... like your opinion of the overall feel of the thing would be appreciated, since a bit of the content is still not up...
Oh yeah there also might be a better bridge between the startpage(kinda pale) and the actual site...right...
cheers

(some missing textfields and that kinda stuff is being worked on...also not alot of preloading really yet but the files are small enough for a quick look)

Very nice!! Your skills are much more advanced than mine.
Everything was very smooth and well synched with the sounds.
The only thing that really stuck out, was there was no rollover effect on the main menu. Maybe adding some like the the buttons have in the main window? The font is beutiful, so soft looking. How did you do that? I added it to my bookmark. Gonna love seeing the finished result

hey thanks ... erm... the font thng is easy dude, all you have to do is embed it into your flash document, so the font gets loaded with the file and it doesnt take a default font from your computer. This is done very easily in your library, left click on the icon in the library's topmost bar- looks like a bullet-list. Then choose "Choose Font" or "new font" or something like that and choose the font you like. It gets loaded into your swf when you publish. (the file gets a bit bigger tho) and you also have to choose the font inside your actual text-fields right.

Question though: Are you having trouble focusig on the indiviudual elements? Is it all just a big blurr to you? I been lookin at ths thing for too long and am no longer in any way objective.

The individual elements do stand out well. Although everything is grey, everything is clearly laid out. I would agree with adding rollovers to the main buttons. I liked the other rollovers, maybe something similar for the main ones. Maybe if you add some grey to the splash page, it would seem more cohesive with the rest of the site. Nothing fancy, maybe something similar to the grays on pixelranger's splash page. Just an idea. Well done.

I know that. I thought maybe you made them soft feeling in some other program.

They are a little bluty. They arent sharp like most pixel fonts. I thought that was your intention though. Here is what I see.

the shoeless designer
looks very pro generally but the 1 thing that bothers me is that it wont fit on a 800x600 screen without extensive horizontal scroll bars
