    Gradient Linear Problems in Firework!

Ok, I go to make a rectangle in firework, with a linear gradient white to red and it looks great in firework. Nice and smooth from white to red.

I then preview it and it looks totally different. Not smooth at all. You can see each shade of white to red sperately. It not smooth transition from one color to the other.

    Any help is appreciated.

It is the file compression. Fireworks does all its work in a lossless file and exports it into gif, jpg, png, etc. When it is exported, information is condensed and the number of colors is as well. Perhaps you could export as a .png and keep it fairly nice or increase the colors on the .gif export settings (it sounds like you are exporting a gif).
It must be obvious day at camp stupid
