i'm sure i'm making this way harder than it has to be!!!

i am trying to put multiple movies on a scene
    they are on different layers
and within each movie there is a stop action at the end
is that stopping the other movie on frame 2 in the main scene?
the movie on frame 1 on the scene is playing
but not the movie on frame 2

please hurry, i'm screwed if i don't figure this out ASAP

The "stop();" action in a movie will only affect that particular movie's timeline (unless you tell it otherwise).

Your movie only shows what is on the current frame. So if you are seeing frame 1 contents, you won't be seeing frame 2's content as well.. If you want to see both then they have to be on the same frame.

I'm not that hard to imitate. Just make some random negative claim at Apple or anything else for that matter and then have nothing to back it up.

I think I know what you're talking about. I've had a problem like this before a long time ago, the way I fixed it was by moving the animation fromm the movie clip directly into the main frames, and having a gotoAndStop or gotoAndPlay action attached to the end. Oh, and make sure you didn't accidently make it into a GRAPHICS...
