browser width

is it possible to set up something in flash ( variable) that constantly monitors the width of the browser winddow.

How would i pass the browser window width into flash?

no, this isnt what i want to do...
i want to use flash to read the dimensions of the browser
i.e - how tall the window is and how wide it is... i dont want to scale the animation in anyway... just to pass the width of the broswer, as a variable, into my flash movie.
