Who's up for a monthly contest? :: Arena Contest

Last year, the Arena mods would pick a monthly theme, and the contest would basically see who could come up with the best image - voted on by the Flashkit mods with criteria - for that month's image based on the named theme.

It's been a while, it sorta died on the last few; but I think it's time to bring it back.

However, I'll only do it if I see enough interest.

Mind you... there is no reward other than bragging rights. The thread will invariably make it into the Flashkit Newsletter, and at the moment, not only will over 100k people immediately see the announcement, but it will mean that that many more people may possibly view your image.

Talk about bragging rights.

So... without naming the planned theme... are you guys up for it?

remember: the more people I see in this thread ready to submit something, it may happen...

Hey you know Im in, Count me IN!!
Not trying to be against Kaco or anythhing but I dont like the Flash idea that much, If you want toi use flash in your image that should be cool.
For the Theme part, why dont you judging mods pick one stock photo so we can work based on that one.
So anyone can use the style, theme they want but staying within the original photo?
Ellis, what do you ean by all AE images? After Effects or what?

Yeah After Effects, I love the program and the image quality is far higher.

I've always treated After Effects as Photoshop with a timeline. Same thing to me. But I guess that just comes from familiarity with both programs.

anyway, this isn't about the tools... just still seeing if people were interested. discussion on the tools, theme, et al will be forthcoming if the interest is high enough.

Well I am intrested. After effects I have found has quite a few more tools of course I dont think they are made for still images but I like to use it. Such as shutter angle, 3d layer, etc, etc.

I'd love a monthly contest, not really fussy on theme, but being monthly, allows people like myself (irregularly busy) to see how much time we can spare on a month-by-month basis.
