unicode problem

hey there, i have a online php editor for a couple of different text files that i read into flash to display the text.
i use german character (ü and stuff).
in my editor everything works fine, i also tried and used only notepad, but in flash its really strange, cos the first couple lines in my textfile are read just fine and display the german characters just fine, after that i get stuff like ö and such....
anyone have any idea whats wrong?

thanks i heard about that but couldnt find it on the macromedia site, it doesnt help however....when i urlencode it it doesnt show at all (maybe cos i have more than one var in the textfile, all beginning with &)
anything else i can do?
