    Hi.
I hear the scratchiness on the SWF output. The output is still usable but I do hear the scratchiness. Is that what you were referring to?
I'm not sure where it is being introduced, but I'm looking into it further.
Can you use the SWF output from Flix? You can always bring it into Flash using LoadMovie.

    still plugging along.

It is the scratchiness and I can't use it like that since it is the clients portfolio pieces. I can use the swf output as a last resort but I really would like to put my own preloader on as well as some actionscipt on the end of the piece. This is digitized from a DVcam tape. Everything on the DV cam sonds the same when trying to do this. Other DV cam tapes do fine. I am beginning to suspect the DV cam although it still seems odd it makes a swf and mps output fine. Am trying to get another dub of the tape and see if that may be the problem. Thanks for looking into this.

You can use LoadMovie with Flash to bring the .swf into Flash and add actionscript.
You can also use Linx and import the .swf into Linx and also import a .swf with the preloader you want to use and/or the actionscript you want to use and lay them in on the timeline before or after the video .swf.
