Flix Pro crashing when editing - need help

I'm new to Flix, but seem to be doing everything right to edit a movie. When I click in/out Option Use Start /End Time under the edit feature, edit the length of the movie, then try to encode it as an FLV file, or any others, the software crashes. It seems I can do everything else within the program but edit. Any suggestions?

I just upgraded my RAM to 512M and running Windows 2000.

    Hi.
What is the source video format and codec?
Can you edit any type of file?
Can you play the file using the play function in Flix?
    Can you crop the file?
Can you edit a different portion of the same file?

    Thanks.

I've tried both .mpv and .mpg.
Codec: Ligos MPEG Video? This is what shows up for both formats in the video tab

No, I cannot play until I have encoded it.

Yes, cropping is not an issue.

Yes, everything else seems to work, but editing the sequence. I can crop and apply the filter options.

    You could try reinstalling Quicktime.
Also, make sure to use the complete "recommended" install mode.

I did try the reinstall of QT. I'll try to reinstall Flix.

    Thanks for your help.
