Hi there,

I know this is a broad question but I'm going to ask.

I am a Flash designer/animator but generally outsource for deeper programming. A client wants to create a product with functionality similar to http://www.visualthesaurus.com.

What languages are used to produce something like this?

And if anyone has a good source of New York talent in this area, please advise - we're looking!

if you view the source you'll see that they used javascript,css, and html; which is pretty common.

Hi,

If you mean the "Visual Thesaurus" online app, it is a Java applet, that opens a new window (Java Applet Window). The app itself seems to involve a lot of Java programming and data bases manipulation.
