FLV export consistently causes Flix to crash

FLV export consistently causes Flix to crash. Similar settings with MX export selected works fine. Crashes just after render window indicates "Initializing media layer"

SETTINGS MODIFIED (only modified because export fails if these settings aren't made - why no default? that's another issue):
Both MX and FLV settings - video quality 100, use source dimensions, framerate video 12
Everything else default.

Tried with export audio deselected/selected due to forum discussions about FLV/audio issues, but both toggles caused Flix to crash.

SYSTEM:
Mac dual 1.42 Ghz, OS 10.3, FlixPro v.3.200, video is standard Final Cut Pro 3 Movie File (QT)

Has anyone else experienced this?

Download a new installer, uninstall and reinstall.

just downloaded installer and installed a few days ago. has a change occured since then?
