MX2004 publish won't produce swf- how to troubleshoot?

Hi all,

I created a site in MX and saved it in 2004, not knowing I couldn't go back. Some elements didn't work properly, and I had to recreate them in 2004.

I have been trying to publish the movie in 2004, but it hangs each time and I do not know how to troubleshoot the problem. The publish settings use Flash player 6.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Nobody knows, it seems that a lot of people are having this problem where it won't publish the movie in mx 2004. Each time I've seen that someone has had this problem and posted about it on a forum, nobody answers... it's pretty frustrating and as far as I tell it's simply a bug in mx 2004 that won't let you publish large .fla files (is yours very large?).

Hope someone can help, I'm just defragging my HDD at the moment in the hope that it might somehow help.
