2 Years In The Making, It's Finally Done...

    The Spudilien Conquest: http://www.alloftheabove.net/planetpug/theater.htm

Hey everybody. A very on-again, off-again poster here, though I check in at the board fairly frequently. About a year and a half ago I posted the first half of my then-new toon, "The Spudilien Conquest." At the time, I figured the second half would be out in 3 or 4 months. But, as so often happens, life got in the way, and I found my self working on this thing off and on for the next year-and-a-half-plus.

The whole toon is now done. I've done some heavy exploration with cell-shaded 3D backgrounds, characters, etc. in it, and I'm reasonably satisfied with the look of the cartoon (not sure I can say the same about the story: let this be a lesson, make sure you have a pretty solid story if you're going to be working on something for 2 years, haha).

As I piled in more and more Swift-3D created material into the toon, the Flash file size grew and grew, and some scenes were so vector-complicated that even my pretty hardcore computer could only play scenes at a snails pace. And so, I had to go the route of video, not SWF, in the end (blasphemy, I know). It worked out alright, though, as I got to really pile on the sound effects in the second half without worrying about file size too much.

So anyways, as always, I'm posting my latest toon here on Flashkit Art & Anime for all to see. I've compiled the previously released Part 1 and the newly completed Part 2 into one big movie file (really big, this will take a while to load. But it's pretty long, so you should be able to start watching it before it finishes). I'd love to hear what you all think. It was done entirely in Flash, except for the sound effects, which I compiled in Adobe Audition. Thanks in advance for any constructive criticism you can offer,

    Joe

    Not working, eh...

Hmm, that's too bad. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'll put it up as a downloadble DivX as soon as possible.

The direct link to the .mov file is http://www.alloftheabove.net/planetp...n_conquest.mov
So you guys can right click that and save.

Let me know if that format doesn't work for ya. Thanks so much for the interest!

Well thanks a log, I'm glad you liked it! Not sure I'll be working on any new episodes of Beppo for a long time, but I'll certainly be posting them on FlashKit when they're done.

I can only postulate the probability of performing at a paramount level of perfection praised by the pulchritudinous paragon whose only practice is to preserve such a paradigm.
