as for your question at da, i'm a real sucka for trying to simulate old textures... i guess it's pretty much a mixture of blend modes, changing the curves, changing the percentage of desaturation, stock layering etc until I'm happy... no forumla or tutorials or anything oh yeah, my ink stocks are rather good for getting old textures... you could also browse through my usual stock haunts but it's much better to crete your own, which i'm doing now and scanning and submitting it once I get the time!
