My new toon relies heavily on 3D
Hey all, thought I'd post my new Flash-animated cartoon here, as it relies very heavily on Swift 3D. I used Max to create several backgrounds, tracking shots, and even characters in this toon. Let me know what you think.

he he he! nice one joe. the camera angles were pretty cool. it is swift3d isn't it (it's just that the alien ship looked a bit plasma). nice to see billy at the podium and not sayin "i didn't..."

Thanks a lot
Thanks for taking the time to check it out. Most of the first half was done within Swift 3D V2, and then I upgraded to 3ds Max with the Swift 3D plugin for the second half.

It's pretty cool man. The voices are done rather well - one of the best parts imho; however there's this weird unfocus/focus (anti-aliasing goes on the fritz) thing going on right before they speak. I could never tell if that was intentional.
Sometimes, the background textures were great. But in one one sequence - IIRC the hero was in a jail or room with greyish walls - the textures were quickly repeated and not up to par with just a few minutes earlier in animation.
but... I'm not a fan of the trees in the beginning. but bacon trees... that's funny as hell.
I do have to ask why not Flash instead of Quicktime - output of tool perhaps?
Overall, it's not bad. I had to start looking, of course automatically for the Swift3D elements, and the good part is that they're there, but don't pop out as readily as I would have originally thought. You can tell they're there, but they're well-done. And to me, that's a good thing. But you can tell that the latter part of the animation was done last... it has a bit of more polish than the earlier minutes.
Overall, I like it, but yeah... I downloaded it for later perusal because of it's length.
I know, I know... people say stuffs too short normally. But this is a movie, so it's not a complaint, but merely an observation.
