    help on external file handling

    may i force the system to open an external avi movie in windows media player or quick time, with the help of a link in my flash movie????

    Just put a link to it with getURL and it will work.

    I tried this ... but had no joy!

    It appeared to open Windows Video Player ... then close after a very quick intro (1-2 seconds)

    Would love to find out how to fix this, as I am purely linking to a "local" avi clip with the getURL function.
