FLVs won't import into Flash MX 2004

    Hi

I've successfully imported FLV files, created in Flix Pro, into Flash MX 2004 with no problem. But now I have some videos which I'm exporting with audio and Flash isn't recognising them as importable movies. I've tried various settings and framerates but nothing seems to make any difference. Admitedly I'm fairly new to Flash - but I'm just using the menus File/Import/Import to stage.

    Any advice please?

    Rosemarie.

    Hi.
Are you saying you're attempting to import FLV files with audio and they won't import?
    They should.
Can you zip up and post a sample FLV file that is not importing into Flash along with the .flx Flix settings file used to create the output so I can download it and check it out?

FLVs won't import into Flash MX 2004

Jonathan - I've been trying to attach the zipped file but it won't send. The file is 30MB - is that too big?

That size shouldn't be a problem.
What is your OS and computer specs?
What version of Flix and what version of Flash are you using?

FLVs won't import into Flash MX 2004

    Jonathan

I'm using Flix Pro 3.201 (registered) and Flash MX 2004. Machine is Dell running Win 2000 Pro with Intel 1.70 GHz CPU and 2 120 GB hard disks for taking video.

Zip file still won't attach - I just get this message - "No thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the webmaster"

I actually do my browsing and am trying to send the zip file from a Mac running OS 10.3.3 - could this be the problem with attaching the zip file?

We don't run this forum, so I don't know why you are having a problem posting your file. It may be too large (there is a file size limit).
So if you have access to your own server you may want to try posting it there.
It may also be a Mac related issue, so you may want to try on PC.
Have you updated your Flash MX 2004? The original release had many bugs which have been fixed, so you may want to check out the free upgrades.
